📌TL;DR
Amgen's Morgan Stanley session named no OCEAN(a) readout window and no DeLLphi-305 congress, per the Investing.com transcript summary, the only account of the session available Tuesday night; AMGN closed down 1.5% at $375.65.
Scholar Rock executives disclosed Isembyld pricing on Monday's investor call: BioPharma Dive reports an annual list price of about $310,000, while Citeline's Scrip reports a wholesale acquisition cost above $450,000 with roughly $310,000 as the net; no company pricing document exists.
The FDA approved Curium's Bexlutry, the first radioligand equivalent referencing Novartis' Lutathera, for SSTR positive GEP-NETs through the 505(b)(2) pathway; Curium says it is available immediately.
Ascendis said its Novo Nordisk collaboration is terminating, with all metabolic and cardiovascular rights, including once monthly TransCon semaglutide, reverting to Ascendis and no remaining payments in either direction.
Sanofi will transfer 20 mature medicines, including Lovenox outside the US, plus three plants to Cheplapharm in exchange for a 26.4% equity stake, with transfers starting in Q1 2027.
Sionna cut 46% of its staff and will take a new cystic fibrosis combination, SION-451 plus SION-2222, into a Phase 2a trial in Q1 2027; shares fell 16.7%.
⚡ Executive Takeaway
We published the rubric before Amgen sat down: specifics anchor a program, generalities compound the discount, and naming a window is the strongest signal short of data. Then Amgen took its scheduled hour at Morgan Stanley and, per the only transcript available, chose generalities on both counts. Olpasiran is progressing in Phase 3. The pelacarsen failure will be added to the body of evidence. DeLLphi-305, the only claimed survival win at WCLC that never appeared, got no venue and no date. There is a difference between silence between events and silence at your own microphone. The first is a scheduling fact. The second is a choice, and the tape priced it like one within hours.
The comparison that settles it: AstraZeneca printed a miss and an adverse interim on the same weekend and rose. Amgen said nothing new at its own scheduled event and resumed falling. In this market, silence is the most expensive thing a sponsor can say. 👉 Read Full Analysis
🎤 The Conference
Amgen had an hour of forced disclosure time and spent it on the past. AMGN | RPRX
Per the Investing.com transcript summary, Tuesday's fireside covered olpasiran's known profile, its quarterly dosing, and an explicit decoupling from the Novartis pelacarsen failure, which Amgen said it would add to the body of evidence without letting it determine anything. On tarlatamab, the discussion leaned on commercial momentum and the 2025 vintage DeLLphi-303 Phase 1b maintenance data. What the summary does not contain anywhere: an OCEAN(a) readout window, an event update, or a DeLLphi-305 venue. One caveat, stated plainly: the transcript is machine generated and garbles drug names, so we treat its figures as unusable and grade only the absences; if a fuller account surfaces with a named window, the grade changes. AMGN closed at $375.65, down 1.5%, resuming the slide that had snapped the day before the appearance, and Royalty Pharma, our flagged snapback candidate for a good session, slipped 1.0%. Market data, no cause assigned.
💰 Rare Disease
The SMA price is out, and the two trades reporting it cannot agree what it is. SRRK
Scholar Rock executives put a number on Isembyld during Monday's investor call, resolving the disclosure IOU we have carried since the Friday evening approval. BioPharma Dive reports an annual list price of about $310,000. Citeline's Scrip reports a wholesale acquisition cost above $450,000 and calls $310,000 the net cost after discounts. No company pricing document existed as of Tuesday night, so we print both accounts, attributed, and neither as settled fact. Either way the commercial frame is identical: Isembyld stacks on top of SMN2 therapies that already run six figures a year, so the payer conversation is about incremental cost, and the gross to net spread is where it will be fought. The Pro brief works through what the confusion itself tells you about the launch plan. SRRK closed at $50.00, down 3.6%, second session after approval, no cause assigned.
🧬 Obesity
Novo handed back the monthly GLP-1. NVO
Ascendis said Monday evening that its Novo Nordisk collaboration is terminating, with all metabolic and cardiovascular rights reverting to Ascendis, including the once monthly TransCon semaglutide program, and neither company owing the other further payments. The November 2024 agreement carried no upfront: up to $285 million in milestones on the lead program and up to $77.5 million per additional candidate, so Novo walks away having sunk little. Ascendis says it will now run at obesity and cardiometabolic programs on its own. A monthly semaglutide is a genuine convenience asset in a market where Novo is chasing Lilly, and it now belongs to a company that must fund it, repartner it, or sell it. NVO closed at $42.53, down 2.1%, no cause assigned.
☢️ Radiopharma
Radiopharma's moat theory just took its first approved leak. NVS
The FDA approved Bexlutry, Curium's lutetium Lu 177 dotatate injection, through the 505(b)(2) pathway referencing Novartis' Lutathera, for SSTR positive gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and Curium says it is available immediately off vertically integrated lutetium supply. The category's economics have rested on the assumption that isotope logistics keep follow on competition out long after patents lapse. The first radioligand equivalent tests that assumption against radiopharma's flagship product, and every infrastructure valuation in the sector, including the pending Curium and Lantheus combination, now carries the answer as a variable. Curium did not disclose pricing. NVS closed at $138.62, down 0.3%, no cause assigned.
🧹 Pharma
Sanofi traded its tail for a piece of the buyer. SNY
Sanofi will hand 20 mature medicines, including Lovenox outside the US, and three plants in Hungary, Singapore, and France to Cheplapharm, taking a 26.4% equity stake in the German consolidator rather than disclosed cash. Commercial transfer starts in Q1 2027 and completes by Q3 2027, roughly 400, 100, and 65 employees sit at the three sites respectively, and Sanofi says 2026 guidance is unaffected. The equity structure is the interesting part: unlike the clean exits we have logged all quarter, Sanofi keeps riding the economics of its own divested tail. SNY closed at $42.40, down 2.2%, no cause assigned.
📉 The Tape
Monday's readout pops did not survive Tuesday. DFTX | CRBP | IONS | SION
Official September 15 closes: DFTX 36.82, down 8.5%, one day after the Panorama win and now below its pre readout close of 38.89; CRBP 6.92, down 14.4%, resolving Monday's four times normal volume churn to the downside; IONS 47.25, down 8.2% after Monday's 51.44, a two session slide with no company disclosure we could find; SION 6.88, down 16.7% on its disclosed restructuring; CTNM 13.82, down 6.8% on the MOONLIGHT-1 miss. The outlier ran the other way: BBNX 19.23, up 14.9% in the first session after the Mint clearance. Elsewhere: AMLX 33.15, down 1.5%, a twelfth straight close below the $35.50 offer with the offering close still unannounced in tonight's check; RARE 13.07, down 4.0% into Friday's UX111 date; AZN 161.85, down 1.2%, with SERENA-4 medians still unpublished; GRAL 75.89, up 0.5%, with no briefing documents posted yet. No cause assigned to any move without a company disclosure.
